World Cup 2019: PCB unveils Pakistan's official kit for the tournament
They will begin their WC campaign on May 31 against Windies.
Pakistan finalised their 15-man squad for the upcoming World Cup on Monday and made three changes to the earlier provisional squad. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has now unveiled the kit as well which the team will sport during the mega event in England. The fans are expecting the Sarfaraz Ahmed-led side to go all the way much like they did in the Champions Trophy in 2017.
As for the World Cup kit is concerned, it is dominated by the dark green colour which has always been the case with Pakistan. On the front side of the jersey, there is a World Cup logo on the right side while the PCB logo (the star with something written in Urdu in it) is on the left side. The country name ‘Pakistan’ is written at the centre even as the proper green colour shade is also present.
The same kind of colour is present at the back side where the player’s jersey number is printed. Just above that, the name of the player is printed and uniquely the Pakistan flag is also printed in a small rectangle at the top on the back side. The sponsors ‘Pepsi’ has been printed on the left sleeve of the jersey, unlike previous years when the sponsor name was printed at the centre.
PCB’s official Twitter handle unveiled the kit on its official Twitter handle and posted the pictures of the same in a tweet.
Pakistan to start their WC campaign against Windies
As far as the finalised squad is concerned, Mohammad Amir, Asif Ali and Wahab Riaz made it to the team. They replaced the likes of Junaid Khan, Abid Ali and Faheem Ashraf respectively as the chief selector Inzamam-ul-Haq cited the experience as the reason for comeback of Amir and Riaz. The Men in Green will begin their World Cup campaign against the Windies on May 31 at the Trent Bridge in Nottingham.
