World Cup 2019: Virat Kohli congratulates the winners and appreciates the finalists efforts
India lost to New Zealand in the World Cup semifinal clash.
The cricketing fans over the world ran out of adjectives describing the final of the 2019 World Cup. It will be a match which will inspire the next generation of cricketers. If England won the championship, then the Black Caps won millions of hearts with their discipline on the field even when the fortunes deprived them.
Both the teams played the game in true spirit and their names will be etched in the history books forever. It seemed like the cricketing gods saved the best for the last. Coincidentally the game was also played on the most historic venue at the home of cricket, Lords.
Following the game, many former and current cricketers expressed their gratitude to the players for providing a fitting finale. Even the Indian cricketers wished their counterparts including the current skipper of the Indian team, Virat Kohli who praised both the finalists.

Batting first Kiwis put up a decent total of 242 on the board. After an initial stutter, the Brits came back with their own fightback. In the end, the drama unfolded on the biggest stage and both the teams were unable to separate each other even at the end of Super Over. Unfortunately, the prize was scalped by the hosts in an unusual manner of boundary count which sent the English fans into a frenzy.
It was a day which made the best of the sportspersons take notice of an epic saga. One of them was King Kohli whose team bowed out of the championship after losing their semi-final against New Zealand. At that time also he accepted the defeat and complimented the Kane Williamson side for playing better cricket on the day.
Virat Kohli may be the most aggressive cricketer on the field but some of his etiquettes are really admirable. The Indian captain is a true gentleman who always treats his opponents with great respect. Once again it was on show when he posted a congratulatory message for the winning team, England. Along with it Kohli also applauded the efforts of the finalists.
