World Cup Match 37 Bangladesh vs New Zealand review; Ban shows some serious fight: New Zealand won the toss and put Bangladesh into bat first. Both teams had made one change each. Adam Milne had missed out for New Zealand and Mashrafe Mortaza took a break and Shakib led the team.

Martin Guptill steadied the ship with Ross Taylor who made 56 before getting out. Guptill himself made a brisk 105 off 100 balls before he departed with score on 164. After that Grant Elliot (39), Corey Anderson (39) and Daniel Vettori (16) contributed enough runs for New Zealand to touch base safely.

Shakib Al Hasan took 4/55 after opening the bowling. Nasir Hossain took 2/32 in 5 overs to try to stop New Zealand from winning. But they kept their record clean reaching 290/7 in 49th over.

New Zealand won all the 6 six games in their group and topped the group. They will now play the number 4 from Group B in their quarter-final. While Bangladesh finish number 4 and will most probably play India in quarterfinals.
