World T20: England v West Indies Live Social Feeds
The new age England team has seen a turnaround in the limited overs format. The batting line up looks wonderful with Alex Hales, Sam Billings, Jason Roy, Jos Buttler and Eoin Morgan their ranks. The bowlers are also very effective and the attack has a good balance of highly effective seamers and spinners.
West Indies, on the other hand, call this format their own and are very dangerous on any day in any condition at any venue. The advantage they have is the number of all-rounders they have in their side. Chris Gayle remains a crucial factor. This makes them a very difficult team to challenge in the 20 overs format
Both the skippers have talked about the pitch having a tinge of grass. So naturally, there will be bounce and carry. Therefore, expect a good batting performance today from both the sides.
Playing XI:
West Indies: Johnson Charles, Chris Gayle, Marlon Samuels, Denesh Ramdin(w), Dwayne Bravo, Andre Russell, Darren Sammy(c), Carlos Brathwaite, Jerome Taylor, Samuel Badree, Sulieman Benn
England:
Eoin Morgan: “Bit of extra grass and there will be some carry. We would have looked to do the same. Hopefully it won’t change much. We are learning as we are out here. We played one warm-up game here and it was a good cricket wicket. We have got guys performing throughout and gives us the option to play according to the conditions. We have one change from the team that played New Zealand, David Willey comes in for Liam Plunkett.”
Darren Sammy: “We are going to have a bowl. The wicket has a bit of grass and we want to make use of the conditions. Ideally we would have liked to played international matches, but the preparations have been good. Jason Holder, Lewis and Ashley Nurse miss out.”
