The reserve day of the World Test Championship Final saw India coming down to bat with Virat Kohli and Cheteshwar Pujara. It was clear cut that if results have to be taken out of the game, India had to play an attacking brand of cricket. There were high hopes both from Pujara and Kohli as they are known as greats of the Test game. However, what followed next was no less than a horrific sight for Indian fans.

It was seen from starting only how New Zealand pacer Kyle Jamieson was wreaking havoc on all as he bagged a classy fifer in the first innings. He came to Kiwi’s rescue this time again and sent back both Kohli and Pujara in no time. However, it was not one of the very brilliant deliveries by the NZ pacer rather both the Indian batsmen made a poor shot selection.

As both of them were expected to display a great sense of discipline and character on the final day of the marquee event, Twitter lost its cool when they made a silly choice of shot. Kohli (13)  was caught BJ Watling on Jamieson’s delivery on slips and Pujara (15) got caught by Ross Taylor.

Here is how Twitter reacted to Virat Kohli-Cheteshwar Pujara’s shot selection

It can be seen that Jamieson has been doing all the magic for the New Zealand team and already has seven wickets under his belt so far. India currently has Ajinkya Rahane and Rishabh Pant on the crease and would be keen to put a respectable score on the board. India is currently moving up with a lead of 57 runs (at the time of writing).

Pant, Rahane, and certainly Ravindra Jadeja are expected to boost the pace of the game to have results in their favour. The weather is expected to be pleasant for the day and both of the teams will be trying to get the results in their favour for the high-profile event. It will be a thing to see, how the World Test Championship will unfold as the day progresses.
