The coveted mega showdown in the form of Asia Cup 2023 will commence from August 30 while the final will take place on September 17. This time the tournament will be played in the 50-over format. Besides, for the first time the inter-continental competition will be played in Sri Lanka and Pakistan, based on a hybrid model. As per the model, four games will be played in the latter nation while fixtures will be played in Lanka’s backyard.
Speaking of the structure of the Asia Cup 2023 edition, six teams divided into two groups (A & B) will battle it out for the continental supremacy with Sri Lanka being the defending champion.
