Yuvraj Singh stated that Virat Kohli’s journey as the captain of the Indian Test side has been a remarkable one.
In what has come as a surprise to the fans of Indian cricket, Virat Kohli has decided to step down as the captain of the Indian Test team. The legendary cricketer took to social media to announce his decision.
Kohli revealed that he has put in a lot of hard work to take the team in the right direction. The 33-year-old also added that he has taken this decision with absolute clarity in his heart.
Kohli also thanked the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for providing him with the opportunity to lead the side, and also extended his gratitude to Ravi Shastri and MS Dhoni.

And now, former Indian cricket legend Yuvraj Singh has taken to social media and showered praises on Kohli. Yuvraj opined that Kohli’s journey as the captain of the Indian Test side has been a remarkable one.
Adding that very few captains have been able to achieve the kind of success that Kohli has achieved as the skipper of the Indian side, Yuvraj Singh added that Kohli played like a champion every time he entered the field.
“It’s been a remarkable journey King Kohli. Very few have been able to achieve what you have. Gave your all and played like a true champion each time. May you grow from strength to strength! Onwards and upwards,” tweeted Yuvraj Singh.

Under Kohli’s stewardship, India reached the No.1 ranking in Test match cricket, and also reached the summit clash of the World Test Championship (WTC) as well. India also beat Australia in the kangaroos’ own backyard for the first time ever in Test cricket with Kohli at the helm of affairs. Kohli captained the Indian side in 68 matches, out of which India won 40 games. Kohli leaves at a time when India are ranked as the No.1 side in the world in Test match cricket.
