'You will have to bear the consequences'- Shoaib Akhtar warns bowlers on bowling to Babar Azam on flat tracks

Babar Azam, the right-handed batsman has emerged as the run making machine for Pakistan in the last couple of years. He is also the number one T20I batsman in the latest ICC rankings. Currently, he is playing for Karachi Kings in the fifth edition of Pakistan Super League. He has done an impressive job as a batsman and the former pacer, Shoaib Akhtar has come forward praising the 25-year-old over his technique as well as with a warning for the bowlers.

Azam is currently one of the best batsmen in the Pakistan Cricket team, who is piling up runs with his willow in a consistent fashion. He knows the art of making runs due to which he has cemented his place among the list of best batsmen in World Cricket that comprises of players like Virat Kohli, Steve Smith, Kane Williamson and many more.

Shoaib Akhtar praises Babar Azam

In PSL 2020, he has scored a total of 313 runs in nine games at an average of 52.16 with the help of three-half centuries. At the moment he is also the leading run-scorer in PSL 5. The 25-year-old recently played a blissful knock of 69 runs off 46 balls studded with eight boundaries and one six against Lahore Qalandars.

It was a flat track at National Stadium in Karachi and Babar Azam used the opportunity to the fullest by playing a brilliant knock for his team. He also stitched a brilliant opening partnership of 151 runs in that game and helped his side in registering a clinical win by 10 wickets. He looked pretty unstoppable as he made the mockery of the opponent bowlers.

Now, Shoaib Akhtar has given out his opinion saying that bowlers will have to suffer the consequences if they will bowl him on such an easy batting wicket, “When you will bowl to Babar Azam on such an easy batting wicket, then you will have to bear the consequences. Babar Azam is one of the greatest finds of Pakistan.” Akhtar said in a YouTube video.

Also, Karachi Kings have qualified for the semi-final of the T20 tournament that is scheduled to be played at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on March 17.
