'Your legs are too long, sit in my seat, I'll sit in Economy' - MS Dhoni gives his business class seat to CSK director
Dhoni is admired globally for his down to earth nature and compassionate behavior towards others.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is all set to commence the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020) from September 19. The matches will be played across three venues in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah with the final of the cash-rich league scheduled to be held on November 10.
As the tournament is less than one month away, the star-studded IPL franchise Chennai Super Kings boarded the flight to UAE yesterday where the players including the likes of MS Dhoni, Suresh Raina, Ravindra Jadeja and many more were seen sporting a big smile with high spirits. CSK will be looking forward to capturing the trophy once again and avenge their loss against Mumbai Indians in the very first match of IPL 2020.
Former Indian captain and current CSK captain MS Dhoni is a team man who looks out for the interests and comfort of his team before himself. Dhoni is admired globally for his down to earth nature and compassionate behavior towards others. On Friday, the Ranchi Stalwart again gave an example of his selfless nature.
K George John, Director of Chennai Super Kings shared an incident on his official Twitter handle wherein Dhoni told him to sit in the business class seat while he (Mahi) himself sat in economy class. George has long legs which made it difficult for him to adjust in the economy seat and seeing his discomfort Dhoni exchanged his seat with John.
Sharing this incident on Twitter, George tweeted, “When a man who’s seen it all, done it all in Cricket tells you, ‘Your legs are too long, sit in my seat (Business Class), I’ll sit in Economy.’ The skipper never fails to amaze me. @msdhoni”
MS Dhoni last donned the Indian jersey in July 2019
The former Indian captain had taken the cricketing world by storm as he hung his boots to draw curtains on his golden international career of 16 years on August 15 (Saturday). The world’s most renowned limited-overs captain had silently walked away from the gentleman’s game without any farewell match, press conference, or intimation.
Dhoni’s last outing came for India during the semi-final match of World Cup 2019 where the Kiwis outshined the Men in Blue and therefore, the Indian team was out of the tournament. Along with his fans, MS would also be eager to brace the match field after a time period of more than one year. He will be looking forward to leading his franchise Chennai Super Kings to victory for the 4th time in World’s biggest T20 league.
