Yuzvendra Chahal thanks MS Dhoni and Sakshi for dinner hosted at Ranchi residence
The Dhonis hosted the entire team at their lavish residence in the Jharkhand capital.
He has been a traveller with the team so far in the ODI series but leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal is never short of his happy spirit. On Tuesday, the 28-year-old was seen poking fun at Vijay Shankar in a post-match conversation over his Hindi-speaking challenges while India captain Virat Kohli was also present. On Thursday, Chahal was seen thanking MS Dhoni and his wife Sakshi for the dinner party they threw in the honour of the entire Indian team in Ranchi ahead of the third ODI against Australia on Friday.
The Dhonis hosted the entire team at their lavish residence in the Jharkhand capital which is MSD’s home town. He is likely to play his farewell game at the venue on Friday and made a special effort to invite the entire team to his house. Photos of the players donning cool outfits along with Dhoni and Sakshi went viral online and Chahal made it a point to thank the hosts in a tweet accompanying the group photograph.

Why cropped Kohli, ask fans
A few social media users also reacted to Chahal showing him captain Virat Kohli going almost out of the frame and said jokingly that he would be penalised for cropping the picture in such a way. Chahal played the two T20Is against Australia before the ODIs began and took one wicket. The tweaker is expected to get a chance if India clinch the series in Ranchi.
India outplayed Australia in both the matches played so far in Hyderabad and Nagpur, respectively. On both occasions, their middle order played well to bring India back into the game and eventually win it. While Dhoni and Kedar Jadhav’s 141-run partnership did the trick in Hyderabad, it was Virat Kohli and Vijay Shankar’s 81-run partnership and the Indian bowlers’ late-innings burst that won it in Nagpur.
India have played Australia in all three formats in Ranchi and while the Test match was drawn and the ODI was washed out, the Men in Blue thrashed Australia in the T20I by 9 wickets in 2017.
