ZIM vs IND: Team India celebrates Zimbabwe clean sweep with epic dance-off

Team India registered their third whitewash this year in ODIs after a narrow win in the final ODI against Zimbabwe to complete a clean sweep in the three-match series. Sikandar Raza almost pulled off an incredible heist for the hosts with a sensational ton, only to fall 13 runs short in a thrilling series finale. The Indian players can be seen indulging in a celebratory dance led by Shikhar Dhawan in the viral Instagram reel on the song ‘Kala Chashma’. Veteran Indian opening batter Shikhar Dhawan has had a fun time off the field, making hilarious reels off late, and it was no different on Monday after India’s series triumph against Zimbabwe. Dhawan donned black glasses and started off things with KL Rahul, the latter sidelining himself as the epic dance-off commenced. The young batting duo of Ishan Kishan and Shubman Gill, who were the star of the show earlier in the match, stole the show once again with Kishan taking center stage with some hilarious dance moves before Gill joined in the southpaw with comical moves of his own, following his trailblazing maiden century in the first innings. Dhawan captioned the video, “That’s how we celebrate the win #Kala chasma.” The video went viral as soon as it hit the internet with over 1.2 million likes and invoked reactions from batting legend Brian Lara who commented, “I remembered a similar group of guys dancing the night away a few weeks ago,” referring to the celebrations in the Caribbean a couple of weeks ago. Gill registered his maiden ton in typical eye-pleasing innings of 130 off just 97 deliveries, compiling the highest score by an Indian batter in Zimbabwe, surpassing Sachin Tendulkar’s 127* in 1998. The ace batter stitched up a pivotal 140-run stand with Ishan Kishan for the third wicket as India posted a competitive total, which was nearly overhauled by a spirited Sikandar Raza.
