MS Dhoni is adored amongst fans not only for his captaincy and batting heroics, but he has been in the news several times because of his comments- on the field and in the press conferences. The former India captain has made several one-liners and quirky statements that show his humorous side. One such amusing incident involves Manoj Tiwary and Kevin Pietersen.

Playing for Rising Pune Supergiant against Mumbai Indians, Tiwary who was standing in the slips had an earpiece attached and was in conversation with the commentators. Pietersen who was in the commentary box asked Manoj to say that he is a better golfer than MS. “Manoj, just tell MS that I am a better golfer than him,” Pietersen told Tiwary in order to take a jibe at the wicket-keeper.

Dhoni replied back with a sharp-wit, “He is still my first Test wicket!” This left everyone in the commentary box burst into laughter. An embarrassed Kevin Pietersen could only remind everyone that “it was a referral, it was a referral”.

This was in relation to India’s tour to England in 2011, where Dhoni did took the wicket of Pietersen. However, the English batter used a review to overturn the umpire’s decision. In fact, Dhoni has never got a Test match wicket and has a solitary ODI wicket.
