The man who doesn’t cease to deliver miracles time and again has lit up the IPL 2022 season as well. The X-factor of finishing games consistently has made him a star of the IPL. The Haryana-born bowling all-rounder has played some breathtaking innings to take his side to glory on numerous occasions in his IPL career. This year has also been no different as the all-rounder has clinched victory from difficult situations for his franchise – Gujarat Titans more than once. Tewatia was bought by the brand new franchise Gujarat Titans for a humongous INR 9 crores.

In this year’s edition, he has been used as a proper batting all-rounder as the Titans seem a bowling heavy side and lack batting depth. Many fans and ex-cricketers thought the price that was paid for his services by the franchise was more than necessary but he has proved all the critics wrong with some extra-ordinary finishing when it needed the most. Although if compared to Pooran, he is not a proper technical batsman per se, his abilities to read the game situation and improvise accordingly make him a valuable asset. 

He is a bowling allrounder which means he has got the bowling talent as well and we have seen him using this talent for his previous franchise – Rajasthan Royals to a greater extent as well. So all in all, comparisons are not the right way to analyze players, nevertheless, Gujarat Titans bagged him for a crore and 75 lakhs less than Nicholas Pooran’s price i.e. 10.75 crores substantiates his name in this list for sure.
