The right-arm pacer from Uttar Pradesh, Kartik Tyagi has been touted as one of the better young players who have come through from age-group cricket. He made his first-class debut for Uttar Pradesh, a month before he turned 17, in the 2016-17 season.

He then made his debut in the List A format in the following season. Tyagi was selected to play for the Indian U-19 team which went for the Junior World Cup in early 2020.

At the tournament, this young 20-year-old put up an impressive show with the ball and was one of the shining stars to have come out from the Indian team. This allowed him to get an IPL contract as well.

He played for Rajasthan Royals in the 2020 and 2021 seasons. He was deemed as one of the future prospects for Indian cricket. Tyagi was also part of the Indian contingent which toured Australia in the 2020-21 season.

He was one of the reserve players who was there on the tour with the team. Because of his previous stints, he could get a go-ahead to England.
