3 weaklings in India’s T20I squad Bangladesh can look to exploit
The Tigers have a lot of homework to do before they take on the Men in Blue in the latter's backyard.
Rishabh Pant
Rishabh Pant is glamorous and attractive courtesy of the big shots he can play. However, the world’s aware that he isn’t the most organized batsmen doing the rounds in world cricket for the time being. It’s been almost three years since the southpaw made his international debut, but he is yet to show enough consistency for Team India.
He has often been criticized for playing rash strokes. In 20 T20Is, Pant averages a mere 20.21 and his strike-rate of 121.26 is much lower than his overall strike-rate of 159.94 in the format. Pant tends to show signs of impatience after a few dot balls and that induces false strokes.
The Tigers’ bowlers will be wary of the damage Pant can inflict. On the other hand, they will also know that the best way of getting him out is to cut down on his scoring shots.
