We have seen in the past that many mind boggling contests have got blemished due to the bad lights. Many a times, it has deviated teams from a possible win to a position of mere consolation draw. While sometimes it rescued teams, at the other time it turned out to be a spoilsport as well. It was one of the most disappointing things surmounting test cricket.

But now with the advent of day-night test matches, we are all set to witness players in whites under the floodlights. In a way, it’s a remedy for the drawback of bad light in test matches. Now, as the matches will take place under the lights, there won’t be any nerve-racking match biting the dust due to the ill-effects of bad lights. Whenever there would be bad light in day-night tests, the flood lights will tranquil the stadium with glow of spark on the faces of players and spectators for sure.
