Late Bob Woolmer was appointed as the head coach of Pakistan in 2004. Under his mentorship, the Men in Green did exceedingly well in ODIs and Tests. He used to back all the players in the side and never had a verbal spat or a fight with any player in the team.

Everything was going smooth before he was found dead in a room at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel on March 18, 2007. His unknown death sent a shock wave in the cricketing world. It all happened three days after the Pakistan cricket team got knockout from 2007 World Cup hosted by West Indies.

As per the reports, it was a normal death due to a mild heart attack. But later on, the police also launched an investigation in order to verify that Woolmer died of heart-attack or it was a conspiracy. In the end, it was proved as a normal death.
