5 Female presenters in World Cup 2019

Just as much entertainment the cricketing action provides on the field, the pre-match and post-match shows have garnered an equal amount of appreciation from the fans. There are various analyses carried out by the experts to give new insights to the audience – with technical and a lot of other aspects. Moreover, gameplans for different players are discussed along with special interviews with the players. There are also special segments like ‘Follow the Blues’ amongst many others which keep everyone interested. The responsibility of hosting and conducting these shows – making the experts talk about even the uncomfortable things is with the female presenters. Who hold the entire thing together with a lot of grace and make it a fun experience for the viewers with their presentation skills. For the 2019 edition of the World Cup, the ICC picked three digital insiders (official presenters). Along with them, there are two other female anchors who will be covering the tournament mostly for their teams. Here are the female presenters who are a part of World Cup 2019: 1. Zainab Abbas Zainab Abbas. (Photo Source: Twitter) Zainab Abbas is one of the three female presenters for the World Cup 2019 picked by the International Cricket Council (ICC) as an insider. She has hosted several cricket shows in Pakistan including the PSL, she has also done a whole lot of interviews with players and officials. Zainab has in the last few years developed credible experience, knowledge and expertise in the field. The Lahore-born has an MBA degree in Marketing and Strategy. She is known for her unbiased opinions and her favourite actor is apparently Shah Rukh Khan. She really loves the sport and her interactions and interviews with cricketers on and off the field and even on sidelines are fun to watch. She acted in movies, modelled for different brands and also hosted various events. After working in a corporate for a while, she then stumbled upon cricket commentary and sideline reporting. She hosted shows for various clubs in Pune and her career graph went skywards from there on. Then as a TV Presenter, she worked for Star Sports, Sony Six, Ten Sports, Zee Studio and other channels where she interviewed various top-notch celebrities. Ridhima also has the experience of working on other sports and was a part of the Asian Games 2018 broadcast team as well. She is now an ICC insider and already interviewed Indian captain Virat Kohli along with other players from the team leading into the World Cup. Elma Smit Elma Smit. (Photo Source: Twitter) Elma Smit also started off as an RJ in South Africa. She then rose to fame when after hosting the Rugby World Cup 2011 in New Zealand. Her first television presenting job was for Afrikaans music channel MK (2010), which saw her hosting the 2011 MK Awards. Smit also is a host for SuperSportTV and has a good amount of experience hosting cricket shows. Now she is a part of the panel that will conduct shows and interviews with the cricketers as well as fans for the World Cup 2019, this will be a new sort of an experience for her with billions around the world watching. (Photo Source: Twitter) Jannatul Ferdous Peya, known by her screen name Peya Jannatul, is a Bangladeshi model. She was crowned Miss Bangladesh in 2007 and is a lawyer by qualification. She started modelling from 2008 and won the Miss Indian Princess International in 2013. Peya is the first cover girl for Vogue India from Bangladesh and has acted in several movies. She is a social worker as well and runs an organisation named ‘We Foundation’ which supports the helpless people. Her past experience with cricket was with the Bangladesh Premier League. Having been around for a while she doesn’t quite need an introduction as the fraternity, as well as fans, are well aware of her work. She started off an a presenter for football and hosted 2010 FIFA World Cup. Slowly, she shifted her attention to cricket and was one of the presenters for World Cup 2011. After covering the World Cup 2015 as well, this will be the third World Cup as a host for Mayanti. She is a part of the official broadcaster Star’s panel and will mostly be covering India matches.
