If there is a list of some of most underrated cricketers in India, Shreyas Gopal will be among the top ones. The Karnataka all-rounder just goes about his business quietly and yet, he does his job really well. He is very effective with the ball and can also be pretty handy with the bat.

Over the last few seasons, Gopal has been very good in the IPL and has made it a habit of dismissing some big names. Moreover, his form for Karnataka is invariably good. Irrespective of the format, Gopal stands up and delivers.

Even in this season, the 26-year-old all-rounder has picked up 13 and 19 wickets respectively in the 50-over and 20-over formats. He hasn’t had much to do with the bat but he’s created a big impact with the ball. With this being the age and day of wrist-spinners and moreover, India looking for someone who can even bat down the order, Gopal may well be in contention to get his maiden international call-up.
