5 Players Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) should pick in IPL 2020 Auction in order to win the title
RCB is yet to win an IPL title in 12 seasons thus far.
5. Chris Green
26 years of age and already considered a T20 specialist; Chris Green is a right-arm off-spinner who takes part in franchise cricket all around the world. He plays in the Big Bash for Sydney Thunder, Toronto Nationals in T20 Canada tournament, Multan Sultans in PSL and for Guyana Amazon Warriors in CPL. Born in Durban, Green moved to Australia and was selected for New South Wales in the absence of Nathan Lyon and Stephen ‘O’ Keefe.
In the 2015/16 season of The Big Bash, he was pivotal with the ball as the Thunders went to win the title. In the CPL 2019, Green partnered with veteran leg-spinner Imran Tahir and has stomped their team through to the final, remaining unbeaten in all the 10 group stage matches. Green has picked up 13 wickets at a miserly economy of 6.29.
In the era where off-spinners are treated with utter disdain, Green’s economy of 6.7 in 74 T20 matches is outstanding. The returns of Washington Sundar and Pawan Negi with the ball weren’t inspiring last season, and therefore the RCB management would want to add an X-factor in Chris Green to their squad. Green with his experience of playing in T20 tournaments could blend with Yuzvendra Chahal and be the bowling combination to watch out for.
