He has batted as an opener on most occasions and an opening batsman has the best opportunity to score a hundred but this hasn’t been the case with Gambhir.

He has played a massive 142 IPL matches so far and amassed 4021 runs. He has 35 half-centuries to his credit but a century has yet eluded him. The 35-year-old is also the fourth highest run-getter in the history of the league. Even though he doesn’t have a century yet he holds the record for the most number of half-centuries in the league. He has notched up 35 fifties so far and is on par with David Warner.
