Justice Lodha Committee, which was assigned the role to investigate the allegations of spot fixing and betting during IPL matches, has passed its verdict finally and it was sentenced that the IPL teams, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) will not be eligible to play the next 2 IPLs.

This is indeed a huge blow for a huge number of fans from both the teams. In fact, the stature of IPL will not remain the same now as these two teams were perhaps the biggest contenders for the league in every season.

1. Unpredictability will increase:

As a matter of fact, CSK has managed to reach the play offs in all the seasons of IPL. Thus, with the absence of CSK, clearly the contentions for the play off spots will be widely open and unpredictable. Chennai has played the IPL final on as many as 6 occasions. The champions of the first IPL, Rajasthan Royals have been quite much disciplined in the League and have managed to qualify for the play offs in 2 of the last three seasons in IPL. Thus, with the absence of two of the high profile teams, IPL will be widely open and way too unpredictable.
