4. Roger Binny – Stuart Binny :
India has rarely produced quality fast-bowling all-rounders and one of them is Roger Binny. The Karnataka cricketer was the unsung hero of India’s two famous victory campaigns one being the 1983 World Cup and the other being the 1985 World championship. Binny bowled a crucial spell of 1/23 when the side was defending a low total of 183 in the World Cup final against the Mighty Windies. Even in the classic format, the all-rounder made his presence felt with match-saving knocks and game-changing spells.
Roger Binny has a small page to himself in the Indian cricket folklore and his junior, Stuart Binny tried to follow his footsteps. Stuart is a multi-utility cricketer who made his debut for the Indian team in 2014 and also went on to play the 2015 World Cup.
The all-rounder didn’t cement his place in any format and lost the race when Hardik Pandya entered the fray. Though he played a handful of games for the Men in Blue Binny was not able to weave his magic like his senior.
