Came in to bat at number 3 for the team, Robin Uthappa played sensibly and anchored the innings for the team from one end. He remained unbeaten at one end and did manage to rotate the strike constantly and did not allow pressure to mount on the team. He remained unbeaten on 39 runs off 35 runs with 2 fours. However, he failed to score much in the death overs of the innings and did not manage to find boundaries at the end. Still his innings had pivotal contribution in setting up such a total for India.
