The Rajasthan Royals will be disappointed with their 2020 IPL sojourn. The team ended up with the wooden spoon for the first time in the league. And for that, they have only themselves to blame as they never found their settled playing XI throughout the season. They relied too much on their overseas stars and didn’t care to build an Indian core.

Besides the few experienced Indian players, they had looked way past their prime. Thus the team should look out for some other Indian faces in the trade window. At the moment, they have surplus overseas options at their disposal. Those players will not benefit them in normal circumstances.

For instance, a match-winner like David Miller will have to warm the benches in most of the games due to the quality of their first-choice overseas options. That’s why it is wise to exchange him for a proven Indian IPL entity, especially someone like Umesh Yadav, who can surely boost their bowling attack.

Though he has been poor for RCB in his last two seasons, he will be more ferocious than the likes of Jaydev Unadkat and Ankit Rajpoot. On the other hand, Miller can perfectly slot in Bangalore’s middle-order, which is overreliant on AB de Villiers. The southpaw will enjoy batting on the true surfaces of M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, and he might rediscover himself in the league in the company of ABD.
