The Indian Premier League (IPL) has been a grand success since its inception and it still continues to grow. It hasn’t just established itself as the best cricketing league but is also considered as one of the biggest sporting leagues in the world.

The participation of overseas players has been one of the key reasons behind the tournament’s success. Players like David Warner, Chris Gayle, Dwayne Bravo, and Lasith Malinga have all played a major role in increasing the quality and competitiveness of this event.

However, it isn’t possible for some overseas players to take part in each and every game. There have quite a few instances where players have missed some games due to international commitments, and this was seen with the English players in particular.

On that note, here’s 6 players who could potentially miss a few games due to international commitments:

1. Quinton de Kock

South Africa have a home series against Pakistan in April and thus, their players might miss the first couple of weeks. Being their captain, Quinton de Kock will obviously be a part of their team for the series that will start on the 2nd of April and end on the 16th of April.

He has been a very important player for the Mumbai Indians in the last two seasons and has helped them win the title on both those occasions. Last season, he scored 503 runs in 16 games at a strike rate of 140.5 while averaging 35.92.

While it would have been difficult for any other team to be able to perfectly replace him, it won’t be the case for Mumbai Indians given the way they built their squad. Chris Lynn will most likely slot in for him while Ishan Kishan can take of wicket-keeping duties.
