The dashing left-hander wasn’t asked to open the innings and it proved a huge blunder from the Australian team management. His 4 matches produced only 38 runs at an average of 9.50. Former Australian cricketer Ian Chappell was unhappy with Warner batting in the middle order and his assessment proved right. The southpaw has been brilliant for Australia when he opens the innings and there seemed no need to change his batting position.
