At a time when India is under a 21-lockdown and cricket fanatics have left with no option but to watch old matches, players have been dishing out Twitter Q&A and Instagram Live sessions. Many former players have also released their all-time playing XI to keep cricket fans entertained.
Joining the bandwagon was cricketer-turned-commentator Aakash Chopra, who released his one-of-a-kind Best T20 XI which comprised players who’ve never played T20 cricket. Chopra compiled a squad which would have wreaked havoc on the opposition in the current era.

Aakash Chopra named Imran Khan as the skipper
Furthermore, he added Sir Viv Richards at the No.4 position. The legendary West Indian is regarded as one of the best cricketers to have played the sport. Viv Richards was known for his explosive knocks and Chopra felt that he would have shellacked bowlers if he was playing T20 cricket in the modern era.

Skippers of their respective national teams, both Kapil Dev and Imran Khan possessed the ability to turn the tide in their side’s favour at any point of time. Chopra also named Imran Khan as the skipper of the side. Moreover, he also named another legendary all-rounder Ian Botham in the squad. Botham was known to revolutionize English cricket with his all-round skills.
Following Botham, Chopra picked Gary Sobers, who had the record of delivering in crucial situations with the bat as well as the ball. Coming on to the wicketkeeper of the squad, Chopra picked Zimbabwe’s Andy Flower name.
To finish things off, he chose the bowling duo of Wasim Akram and Joel Gardner to decimate the opposition’s bowling attack. Meanwhile, Chopra also picked Lance Klusener as the 12th man of the squad. He also heaped praise on the squad by saying that each player would’ve attracted massive bids if they were a part of any modern-day auction.
