Aakash Chopra shuts down a fan who tried to mock his short Test career
Aakash Chopra made his International debut in Tests back in 2003.
Aakash Chopra was not an exceptional cricketer but is famous for his commentary skills and game analysis. He made his debut for Team India back in 2003 and went onto play 10 Tests matches before his career came to a halt. The former player from Agra remains very active on social media platforms and is also a keen replier to his fans who try to troll him.
42-year-old played for Kolkata Knight Riders in the inaugural season of IPL. Later, he started his second innings after he didn’t excel as a cricketer. On social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter, he usually comes up with his analysis terming it as “Aakashvaani”. Sometimes he faces fans’ criticism and vice versa for his posts. But, recently he got into a cheeky cold war of words with a fan who tried trolling him.
Fan trolls Akash Chopra over his short cricket career
A fan on Twitter tried mocking Chopra for his short cricket career. He felt that it is easy to become a commentator, analyst or critic. He tweeted that one has to play two or three International matches to become commentator, poking a question towards former KKR cricketer.
The outspoken commentator looked in a savage mood. Aakash took to his Twitter handle in order to give a cheeky reply to the troller. According to the former player, it is not easy to be one out of 296 Indian Test cricketers in a country of 1.3 Billion population. He also mocked the troller by saying that he will be honored to commentate on his International debut.
He wrote, “Yeah. Good idea. There are 296 Test cricketers in India. In a country of 1.3 Billion people.Easy peasy……..lemon squeezy. I would be honoured to commentate on your India debut. Just wary of Tom, Jerry !!!.”
Here is the conversation:
Team India is currently playing the third and final Test of the series against South Africa in MS Dhoni’s hometown in Ranchi. Aakash was also the part of commentators panel. In order to imitate the veteran Indian wicketkeeper, a video of him went viral in which former cricketer was seen playing a traditional “Helicopter” shot of the local boy.
