The debate over who is better between Steve Smith and Virat Kohli has once re-surfaced and Pakistan batsman Ahmed Shehzad has also pitched in with his views. The comparisons have started dominating the cricketing world once again ever since Steve Smith hit the ground running on his Test comeback in last year’s Ashes.

Despite missing one year of Test cricket due to the ban imposed on him after the ball-tampering scandal, Smith reclaimed his number one Test rank from Kohli after playing just a couple of games. He went on to finish the Ashes as the highest run-scorer despite missing three innings due to concussion. Kohli too did not take long to reclaim the number one Test spot as the cat and mouse race between the two modern-day greats continues.

The comparisons have been further escalated after the recent ODI series between India and Australia. Both Smith and Kohli once again impressed. While Kohli played knocks of 78 and 89 in the three-match series, Smith scored 98 and 131 in the two innings that he batted in.

Ahmed Shehzad also reveals his favourite Bollywood actress

With the jury still out on who is better between Smith and Kohli, Ahmed Shehzad has a different view. In a recent interview to Cricket Pakistan, the out-of-favour Pakistan batsman answered a total of ten questions and one of them was to pick one between Smith and Kohli. In reply, the right-handed batsman said that while Smith is the better red-ball player, Kohli is better in the limited-overs format.

He was also asked to name his favourite actress and in reply, he picked Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor. Shehzad also said that he would have joined the army if he had failed to become a cricketer as he answered a number of interesting questions.

Here is a clip of the full interview:

Shehzad, nonetheless, remains out of Pakistan team. He was given a chance to bring his career back on track when Pakistan recalled him for the home T20I series against Sri Lanka. However, the batsman, who used to draw comparisons with none other than Kohli, failed to justify the selection. Shehzad scored 4 and 13 in the two games he played as Pakistan lost the series 3-0.
