‘Aisa lag raha hai ki ghaas ko paani nahi mila’ – Yuzvendra Chahal hilariously trolls Mohammed Siraj for new hairstyle
Yuzvendra Chahal hosted Shreyas Iyer and Mohammed Siraj on his popular show ‘Chahal TV.’
Team India extended their sensational run in T20Is as they whitewashed Sri Lanka 3-0 on Sunday (February 27). It was indeed a comprehensive series win for Rohit Sharma’s team as they won all three matches pretty comfortably. Following the conclusion of the game, veteran leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal hosted the likes of Shreyas Iyer and Mohammed Siraj on his popular show ‘Chahal TV.’
The Board of Control for Cricket (BCCI) shared the clip of the episode on Twitter, which went viral in no time. While Chahal was having a conversation with Shreyas Iyer about the latter’s batting blitzes, the interview was crashed by Siraj. The leg-spinner hilariously welcomed his former Royal Challengers Bangalore teammate in hilarious manner, making fun of his golden-cloured hair.
“Agar aap inke (Siraj) baal dekhenge to aisa lag raha hai ki ghaas ko paani nahi mila hai aur ghaas sookh gayi hai (If you look at his hair it seems like dry grass, which has not been watered for long.),” Chahal said in the clip, leaving Shreyas and Siraj in splits. The trailer of the episode ended with Siraj congratulating Shreyas for his match-winning knock.
Shreyas Iyer slammed unbeaten half-centuries in all games
Meanwhile, Virat Kohli was rested for this series and hence, Shreyas got to bat at number three. The 27-year-old made optimum utilization of the opportunity and scored unbeaten half-centuries in all three games. Moreover, his strike rate was in excess of 170. As a result, he was named the Player of the Series.
Shreyas was mighty pleased with his performance and the same was evident in his comments after the game. “All three knocks were special, but yesterday’s – coming in at a crucial moment, I’d pick that. Only require one ball to get into form as long as you’re keeping your eyes on the ball and playing it on its merit. The wicket was little two paced today compared to yesterday,” said the dasher in the post-match conversation.
“Was playing on the merit. Outfield is so fast, just had to hit gaps. Been a rollercoster journey after my injury. Real test of you is during rehab sessions,” he added.
