Anurag Thakur wishes on World Sports Journalist Day
BCCI president Anurag Thakur took on social platform Twitter to wish on the Sports Journalist day. Thakur is one of those people, who is highly active on the social platforms and there was no surprise with his Tweet.
World Sports Journalists Day is a global professional observance held on July 2. It was established by the International Sports Press Association (AIPS) in 1994 to mark the 70th anniversary of its foundation. “Sports Journalist” is an essential part of any news media organization and this day is for them who promotes the sports.
Thakur conveyed his regards through two tweets. “#SportsJournalistDay -For those who capture a terrific ton,knockout punch,a victory lap,a glorious goal,a bullseye & home run! @BCCI ½”, he wrote in his first Tweet and “#SportsJournalistDay -For thos who somtims throw a googly our way,to ‘duck’ or ‘love’ or ‘knock’ a ‘super six’! Hv a fabulous day! @BCCI 2/2” in his second Tweet.
Anurag Thakur had always stunned the fans and even cricketers with some of his announcements. Earlier, he has stated that he wishes to do away with the word ‘Control’ in the BCCI’s name. He said that he want to change it as ‘Care’ as he wants to care for the fans, players, coaches, selectors, administrators and all the other stakeholders who matter in cricket.

“Yes, I had put forward this idea in the meeting today,” Thakur told the Times of India. I think the word ‘Control’ should be replaced by ‘Care’.
