Anushka Sharma to accompany Virat Kohli in South Africa
The couple is reportedly set to marry in the next few days in Italy.
The Indian skipper Virat Kohli is all set to be accompanied by his lady love Anushka Sharma during the tour of South Africa in January. The couple has hogged all the limelight currently with the reports of their much-awaited wedding in Italy either on December 11 or 12. Moreover, the Bollywood Diva was also spotted at Mumbai airport on Thursday night with her family which made the fans believe about their wedding. However, it remains to be seen if they actually marry each other this time around putting to rest all the speculations forever.
Virat Kohli has been rested for the limited-overs series against Sri Lanka which will commence on Sunday ahead of the all-important tour of South Africa. Team India will most probably leave for the gruelling tour either on December 27 or 28 and will play a two-day warm-up game before locking horns with Proteas on January 5 in Cape Town. Men in Blue are scheduled to play 3 Tests, 6 ODIs and 3 T20Is during the stay in South Africa.
Visa processed
According to the reports in Deccan Chronicle, Anushka Sharma will travel with Virat Kohli to South Africa later this month. She had applied for her visa in the short-term tourist category in Mumbai on November 22 which was processed within two days. It is also being learnt that her visa has also got delivered to her agent at Flora Fountain office in Mumbai.
Virat Kohli will be keen to perform with the bat on the personal front if Anushka travels with him on the tour as she was heavily trolled by the fans when he didn’t perform in the semi-final against Australia during ICC Cricket World Cup 2015. He had lashed out at his fans later in front of media for blaming his lady love for his dismissal. The skipper is really focussed on his goal and would be itching to do well on the tour both as a captain and as the batsman.
