Arjun first grabbed the headlines when he hit Johny Bairstow on the toes with a vicious Yorker.
Arjun Tendulkar is the son of Sachin Tendulkar, which has earned him quite a bit of limelight as his career has progressed. He was also set to play in the inaugural season of the Mumbai T20 League, which took place last month. However, he pulled out right before the tournament citing reasons of altering his bowling action in order to refurbish his prowess.
The left-arm fast bowler is presently a part of the 25-member group of the Under-19 cricketers. Tendulkar is currently with the flock in Dharamshala attending a training camp organized by the National Cricket Award (NCA) at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) Stadium in Dharamshala. The officials at the ground mentioned that the practice starts at around 6 am and continues till evening.
The hectic campaign for Arjun Tendulkar
Sanjay Sharma, the official spokesperson of the HPCA updated about Arjun’s participation. “Arjun Tendulkar was practising cricket here and was following a tough routine. He was staying with other 25 under-19 cricketers at the stadium complex only. It is a month-long camp which will conclude around 20th of May.” Sharma was quoted as saying by The Times of India.
All the cricketers are instructed to stay inside the stadium and not move for security concerns. Moreover, it has been learned that Sachin Tendulkar would visit Dharamshala to meet his son on May 1. Arjun first grabbed the headlines when he hit Johny Bairstow on the toes with a vicious Yorker during a practice session at the iconic Lords Cricket Ground in London in 2017.
Recently, Sachin Tendulkar celebrated his 45th birthday and was showered with blessings and appreciations. The occasion was something to cherish for him as there was a cake-cutting ceremony organized at the Wankhede Stadium during Mumbai Indians’ game against the Sunrisers Hyderabad. Unfortunately, the home team slumped to a massive defeat against Kane Williamson’s men.
