One of the best finishers of the recent past in Indian cricket, a team player, and a true sportsman, Suresh Raina, announced his retirement from all forms of international cricket in August 2020. He last played for India in July 2018 and was last in action with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021.

In the Asia Cup game against Pakistan in 2016, Raina was yet another casualty in Mohammad Amir’s opening spell. He walked down the pitch and tried to flick it onto the leg side. But, the ball found the leading edge, and it ballooned in the air and straight into the hands of Wahab Riaz.

Raina finished his international career appearing in 18 Test matches, 226 ODIs and 78 T20Is, scoring close to 8,000 runs with seven hundreds and 48 fifties. He also has 62 wickets across formats. He was the first Indian to score a century in all three formats.
