Jason Holder the captain of West Indies cricket team who won the toss and surprisingly elected to bowl first on a batting wicket. However, Jerome Taylor gave West Indies an early breakthrough, getting rid of the inform David Warner when he was batting on 23 runs but thereafter it was all Joe Burns and Usman Khawaja’s day, both have again proved their worth as Test batsmen and added 258 runs for the 2nd wicket.

West Indies had a sigh of relief towards the end, as they dismissed both centurions in quick succession, but not before Australia had a firm grip on the game. Captain Steven Smith combined with Adam Voges, safely steered the home side at 345/3 at stumps.
