India – 308/8 in 50 overs (RG Sharma 124, A Rahane 89; J Faulkner 2/64)

Australia – 309/3 in 49 overs (A Finch 71, S Marsh 71; R Jadeja 1/50)

Australia won by 7 wickets, with one over to spare.

The Indian bowlers once again were little but effective as they failed to stop the Aussies from chasing down 308 they had posted. All the Australian batsmen from Aaron Finch, Shaun Marsh to Glenn Maxwell did their part as they comfortably won the match despite no big knock from a single batsman.

Australia have a lot of positives to take from the match while team India has more questions to answer. Here is how the match unfolded in our live social feeds:

Australia – 271/3 (44 overs) George Bailey – 60* , Glenn Maxwell – 8

Oppss…

At the end of 50 overs:

India – 308/8

Rohit Sharma – 124

Ajinkya Rahane – 89

Best bowler for Australia was James Faulkner he got two wickets for 64 in his 10. The Indian batsmen scored just 4 fours and a six in the final 10 overs, they lost the last 4 wickets for just 10 runs, though 308 is a good total and nothing in excess of 300 has been chased at the Gabba, Australia will fancy their chances looking at the Indian bowling attack.

India – 210/2 38 overs (Run Rate 5.62)

Rohit Sharma – 105*

Ajinkya Rahane – 37*

10th ODI hundred for Rohit Sharma, his 5th against Australia. He now has two in the two innings he has played on tour.

India – 180/2 32 overs (Run Rate 5.62)

Rohit Sharma – 94*

Ajinkya Rahane – 18*

There was a huge appeal, the wicketkeeper Wade looked confident but the umpire didn’t hear anything. Another decision that will make the DRS highlight.

India – 146/2 26 overs (Run Rate 5.62)

Rohit Sharma – 75*

Ajinkya Rahane – 3*

Virat Kohli wanted the extra run, Rohit was reluctant, he challenged a fast bowlers throwing arm and suffered. Unnecessary haste. India loose the 2nd wicket.

At the end of 20 overs

India – 99/1

Rohit 51*, Virat 40*

Rohit Sharma brings up yet another half-century, India going strong at the moment.

After 15 overs India – 72/1

Rohit Sharma – 41*, Virat Kohli – 23*

Rohit and Virat have once again built a 50 runs partnership.

Shikhar Dhawan once again wasn’t able to elongate his stay and was out caught behind the wicketkeeper Matthwe Wade off Joel Paris.
