Bangladesh vs Sri Lanka, Tri-series final - Match Predictions

A series which promised to be a cracker definitely lived up to the expectations with the hosts Bangladesh well in contention to take the honours. This is probably the best team Bangladesh have ever produced and the results reflect that fact. A huge crowd will turn up at the Sher-e-Bangla Stadium on Saturday to witness one of the biggest matches in their history.

Sri Lanka on the other hand, registered a huge morale-boosting win against the hosts in the last match. They outplayed them in every department and avenged the defeat in the first game in a grandiose way. The stage is well set for a cracker of a contest and although form might favor Sri Lanka, the Tigers are very strong nuts to crack on their home turf.

Pitch report

The pitch was not completely favoring the bowlers in the previous game. But the Bangladeshi batters played some suicidal shots and Lanka took full advantage. Their main strength will be their batting lineup and a flat deck should be on cards for this big game.

The Bangladeshi contingent looks stronger than ever before. They will be playing the same XI which turned up in the previous game where they were annihilated badly. Tamim Iqbal and Shakib Al Hasan will be their main men with the bat, with Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmudullah, and Anamul Haque supplementing stability to the side.

Mortaza will be leading the lines as far as the bowling attack is concerned. Mustafizur Rahman is another main man in their bowling lineup, who has to bring his best on the big day. Rubel Hossain, Shakib, and Abul Hasan will be around to complement him.

Suranga Lakmal and Nuwan Pradeep have a lot of experience under their belt, but they need to start using it to best effect. Thisara Perera bowled exceptionally in the previous game and would be eager to do something similar in this game. Akila Dananjaya and Lakshan Sandakan will be the two spinners for the game.
