Marlon Samuels once again did it for his team in a big final. His 2012 heroics are well known and he produced yet another magical knock under intense pressure in the final against England. His unbeaten 85 off 66 balls took the West Indies on the brink before Carlos Brathwaite stole the limelight from him. Samuels was superb in the group stages scoring a brisk 37 against England and a match-winning 43 in a low-scoring encounter against South Africa. He finished the competition with 181 runs at an average of 36.20 and a strike rate of 112.42.
