Bhuvneshwar Kumar reveals he has not used Facebook since his wife hacked his account
Bhuvneshwar Kumar got married to longtime sweetheart Nupur in November 2017.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar made an immediate impact on his India debut in ODIs against Pakistan when he clean-bowled Mohammad Hafeez on the first ball he bowled in international cricket, becoming the first Indian bowler to do so, in the 50-over format. Since then, he became an important part of the Indian team in all three formats.
Bhuvneshwar was the first Indian bowler to pick five-wicket hauls in all three formats of the game and has shown tremendous talent with the bat as well, with multiple half centuries in Tests and one fifty in ODI, which came in a tough chase against Sri Lanka. Currently, he was named in the India squad for the South Africa ODI series which was called off due to coronavirus outbreak.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar got married to longtime sweetheart Nupur in November 2017. The Meerut born fast-bowler had been laid low with multiple injuries starting the 2019 World Cup and then was diagnosed with a sports hernia. Currently at home due to the UP government asking citizens to stay indoors to battle the COVID-19, Bhuvi shared why he doesn’t use social media often.
“She (Nupur) asked me for the Facebook password but I made some excuses. So the next days she tells me that this is your new password. She literally hacked my account and I have not used Facebook since then,” Bhuvneshwar said Cricbuzz’s Spicy Pitch. The couple had first met when he was 13, while Nupur revealed that her husband’s spell in his debut T20I against Pakistan, in 2012, is her favourite.
He had taken 3/9 in four overs, but India lost the game to their arch-rivals by five wickets. “His debut against Pakistan. I was in the hostel then and my friends did not have any idea about me and Bhuvi. So they were also very impressed with his bowling. While watching the match they were saying ‘call that 15-number T-shirt guy for bowling’ and I was happy knowing that he was in demand,” said Nupur.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar is expected to play in the IPL 2020 for the Sunrisers Hyderabad for whom he is the vice-captain. However, the tournament has been deferred till April 15 due to the coronavirus outbreak in the country.
