The incident happened in the sixth over of the Victorians’ innings. Watch the celebration here:
Shakib Al Hasan finished his spell with figures of 2/25 from his four overs at an economy rate of 6.25 as Fortune Barishal restricted Comilla Victorians to 158/7 from their 20 overs. In reply, Barishal got off to a disastrous start by losing opener Shykat Ali and skipper Shakib early, and barring Najmul Hossain Shanto (36), none of the other batters could show any resistance as they were bundled out for just 95 in the 18th over, with the Comilla Victorians registering an emphatic 63-run win.
Nahidul Islam was the pick of the bowlers for Comilla as he bamboozled the Barishal batters with his off-break and finished with 5/3 from his four overs at an economy rate of 1.25 including a maiden over. Nahidul was also adjudged the Player of the Match award for his remarkable bowling spell.
