'Bring the Cup home boys' - Harmanpreet Kaur wishes the India U19 team for World Cup
The Indian U19 team will begin their tourney on January 19 when they take on Sri Lanka U19 at Mangaung Oval.
The Indian colts will be defending their U19 World Cup title as they gear up for the tournament which begins on January 17 in South Africa. The young Men in Blue will be looking for a fifth title and are placed in Group A alongside Japan, New Zealand, and Sri Lanka. The team will be led by Priyam Garg with Dhruv Chand Jurel being his deputy.
The Indian young guns have been getting best wishes from all over the cricketing fraternity. They are being considered to be the favourites to win the tournament given that they recently won a quadrangular tournament in South Africa, with other teams being New Zealand U19, Zimbabwe U19 and the hosts South Africa U19 itself. It was a thumping performance and has led to an increase in their stature ahead of the World Cup.
Harmanpreet Kaur will be preparing to lead India in T20 Women’s World Cup
Harmanpreet Kaur, the captain of India women’s T20I team took to Twitter and sent across hearty wishes to the U19 Indian team for the World Cup. Harmanpreet herself will be preparing to lead the Indian eves into the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in Australia and begins from February 21, with them taking on the hosts Australia at the Sydney Showground Stadium in Sydney.

The 13th edition of the U-19 World Cup, to be held in South Africa, will be played between 16 teams, split into four groups. The top two teams from each group will qualify for the Super League stage. The Indian U19 team will begin their tourney on January 19 when they take on Sri Lanka U19 at Mangaung Oval, in Bloemfontein. Their second match will be on January 21, when they face Japan U19 at the same venue and in their last group match, India U19 will be facing New Zealand U19 on January 24.
