The batting all-rounder from Australia earned big bucks when Mumbai Indians procured the services of Green at a whopping INR 17.50 Cr. His name sparked off an exciting bidding war between Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians, as both sides were swiftly lifting their paddles for the Aussie youngster. Eventually, Mumbai took the lead and made a swoop for the player as he ended up being the second most expensive player in the IPL auction.

Featuring in 21 T20 outings, he has amassed 245 runs with two half-centuries at an impressive strike rate of 137.64. Adding to this, he has also taken the international circuit by storm by racking up five wickets in his eight innings and has garnered a lot of attention following his impressive performances this year in T20Is.

Five-time IPL winners, Mumbai are known to groom players well and Green in the given ambience could flourish into becoming one of the finest cricketers. His addition in the squad undoubtedly will help the side heading into the new season and will hope to better their previous season’s record.
