10. Wanindu Hasaranga

Wanindu Hasaranga is one of the most impactful players in the current Sri Lanka side. His experience and talent pushed the youngster towards success. In the T20 World Cup 2022, Sri Lanka expected him to take the team out of crunch situations but the spin ace is going through a horrible patch in the tournament.

Playing against Australia in the second group game, Sri Lanka were riding high in the game by dismissing dangerous David Warner and Mitchell Marsh. For Hasaranga, it was a perfect situation to create pressure by delivering a perfect spell for the team using his brilliance but the 25-year-old spinner couldn’t do magic with his spin as the bowler got smashed by Australian batters Glenn Maxwell and Marcus Stoinis.

Hasaranga’s spell in the match turned out to be an opportunity for Australia to gather runs. Both Maxwell and Stoinis brought him down by playing some great strokes. For Sri Lanka, Hasaranga’s consistency with the ball is essential to shine in the competition.
