Phoebe Litchfield achieved the record for the joint-fastest fifty (18 balls) in women’s T20Is during a home series against West Indies in October 2023. The Australian star has also performed well in the 2023 Women's Big Bash League (WBBL). She registered her name in the 2024 auction at a base price of Rs 30 lakh but Gujarat Giants (GG) signed her for a whopping sum of Rs 1 crore after UPW ignited a bidding war.

The 20-year-old played in all eight matches for Giants but managed to score just 108 runs. Without a single fifty, a dismal average of 13.5 and a strike rate of 100.93, Lichfield did not live up to her team's expectations.
