Vrinda Dinesh grabbed eyeballs when UPW secured the uncapped player’s services for a staggering amount of Rs 1.3 crore at the 2024 auction. However, the 22-year-old richly deserves this amount given her impressive performances for Karnataka in the past two years. But did the Lucknow-based franchisee get the most out of Vrinda?

The youngster was ruled out of the series after the first three matches due to a shoulder injury. Considering her performance in the limited span, it's fair to say that her absence didn't matter much to the team. Vrinda opened the innings in the first two matches, where she scored a 28-ball 18 and a five-ball duck. She was then demoted to the middle-order in her last match of the tournament against MI.
