During this edition of the Women’s Premier League, the fans were treated to some amazing catches throughout the tournament. The West Indies opener had just scored her fifty and was looking all set to make it a big one at the M. Chinnaswamy. But a well-judged catch from Harris at the boundary rope near long-on ensured it ended the glorious innings of Matthews. It was a crucial catch as it helped her side to restrict the Mumbai Indians’ side to a mediocre total of 161. An enthralling knock of Kiran Navgire ensured that the UP Warriorz got the much-needed first win of the campaign. 4. Smriti Mandhana to dismiss Shweta Sehrawat in RCB vs UP Match Smriti Mandhana (Source -WPL) In just the second game of the second edition of the Women’s Premier League, Smriti Mandhana took one of the catches of the season already. As Asha Sobhana came to bowl her final over of the innings, she was able to dismiss Shweta Sehrawat, who was looking to clinch the match away from the Royal Challengers Bangalore. Even though Smriti dropped an easy chance earlier on in the game, she was able to pluck out a catch when it mattered the most. She caught the ball at extra cover as Shweta tried to hit it over her but ultimately found her despite coming out of her crease. That catch and over proved to be decisive as Royal Challengers Bangalore won the game by just 2 runs. 3. Jemimah Rodrigues to dismiss Amelia Kerr in MI vs DC match Jemimah Rodrigue (Source -WPL) Delhi Capitals took on the Mumbai Indians during the 12th match of the Women’s Premier League 2024. The vice-captain of the franchise, Jemimah Rodrigues took one of the most stunning catches of the season by dismissing Amelia Kerr. The wicket of Kerr was crucial as it helped her side bring the opposition to the ropes. It was a stunning catch from Jemimah as she ran forward from her long-on position and slid to catch the ball coming towards her. The wicket of Amelia Kerr was crucial as she is known to change the tide of the match with her blistering knocks in tough run-chases. In the end, Delhi Capitals got the win over Mumbai Indians by 49 runs. 2. Richa Ghosh to dismiss Grace Harris in RCB vs UP match Richa Ghosh (Source -WPL ) In the 11th match of the second season of the Women’s Premier League 2024, UP Warriorz played the Royal Challengers Bangalore in a tight match between the two sides. After a stunning display with the bat, Richa Ghosh was attentive enough behind the stumps throughout the second innings as well. Grace Harris came out to bat looking to stabilize the UP Warriorz innings as they looked to chase down a massive total. Harris looked to scoop a delivery off Sophie Devine but Ghosh was smart enough to shuffle across to her left to take the crucial catch. It ended with Royal Challengers Bangalore winning the game comfortably by 23 runs. 1. Sajeevan Sajana to dismiss Sophie Ecclestone in MI v UP match S Sajeevana (Photo Source -WPL) At the Arun Jaitley stadium in Delhi, Mumbai Indians faced off against the UP Warriorz in the 14th match of the Women’s Premier League 2024. One of the best catches of the tournament was taken by Sajeevan Sajana during this game as she dismissed English bowler Sophie Ecclestone. Sophie Ecclestone tried to clear the boundary as she hit the ball against Natalie Sciver-Brunt but holed it out to Sajeevan Sanjana. The fielder had to sprint out to wide long-on to catch the ball, and she did so and everyone was stunned by the take of Sanjana.
