3 Captaincy choices for Pakistan in T20Is if Babar Azam steps down
There is a lot of pressure on Babar Azam due to his poor form in T20 World Cup.
1. Shaheen Afridi
Pakistan's express pacer Shaheen Afridi is another possible contender for the leadership role. The left-arm seamer is Pakistan's main bowler across all three formats of the game.
Coming from an injury, the 22-year-old has not been at his absolute best in the T20 World Cup, but he can bamboozle any batting line-up on his day. To note, Shaheen bowled a match-winning spell for his side's famous victory against India during the 2021 T20 World Cup.
Speaking about his numbers in T20I cricket, the left-arm seamer has played 44 games and has already scalped 51 wickets at a decent average of 24.29. He bowls at a good economy of 7.63 and can nail his yorkers in the death overs.
