Veteran pacer Umesh Yadav was bought by Gujarat Titans (GT) for INR 5.80 crore ahead of IPL 2024. This was India pacers highest-ever price in the IPL auction. He got the opportunity to feature in only seven matches and picked eight wickets at an economy of 10 for the former champions and was looked over in the second half of the tournament.

The 37-year-old speedster, known for his raw pace and ability to bowl hard lengths, might be ignored by teams this season. Yadav, who has set his base price at INR 2 crore for the 2025 mega-auction, is unlikely to attract teams because of his high base price and recent underwhelming performances.
