2. Sachin Tendulkar - 37 Years 11 Months 23 Days
Sachin Tendulkar is one of the greatest cricketers of all time. He destroyed bowling attacks with his glorious stroke play and made world cricket his happy hunting ground. ‘Master Blaster’ featured in 463 matches and notched up a staggering tally of 18426 runs at an average of 44.83. In Tests, he piled on 15921 runs in 200 games at an average of 53.78.
Sachin displayed his class in the Indian Premier League too. The former Indian cricketer held the innings together and allowed stroke makers to play with freedom. Also, he swiftly switched gears to put the opposition’s bowlers under the pump. The Mumbai-born made 78 appearances in the T20 carnival and accumulated 2334 runs at a strike rate of 119.82.
During the 2011 season of the lucrative T20 tournament, the then 37-year-old Sachin was quite brilliant with the bat and scored 553 runs in 16 matches at a strike rate of 113.31. Further, Tendulkar notched up an incredible century against Kochi Tuskers Kerala in the 13th match of the T20 carnival.
